So I am happy to announce I will be doing my first rafting trip of the season this Sunday. I’ll be doing a trip down the Numbers section of the Arkansas River with Arkansas Valley Adventures. Right now the flow is at about 1300 cfs. And I have a feeling it will be flowing at about 1600-1800 cfs by the time the weekend rolls around. It’s going to be fun! I rafted this section last year in mid-July, when it was flowing at about 1250 cfs. So I’m guessing it will probably be kicking pretty good. But it’s going to be COLD! I am getting started a couple of weeks earlier this year than I did last year.
